Volunteer

We always need volunteers, especially on packet pick up day and race day!

REGISTRATION

What’s involved? You have to learn some basics about the race such as start time, location, pricing, courses, etc. Your job is to check people in and give them their packets including their race numbers, giveaways, shirts, etc (varies by race) and wish them a great day! On race day, this is an especially good position for morning people – we need awake and cheerful greeters.

COURSE MONITORS

The success of every race comes down to the volunteers on the road. Being a course monitor is not difficult, but it is mission critical. Your job is to 1) Direct runners/walkers on turns so they stay on course, 2) Cheer them on and 3) act as our eyes and ears in case someone is not able to finish the course and needs to be picked up.

WATER STOPS

You will be on the course, handing out water to the athletes and cheering them on! You are also our eyes and ears on the course! We supply everything- the water, cups, tables, instructions!

You show up in time to pour the water and then get ready to hand it out as runners pass by. They often throw cups on the ground, so need to collect all cups at the end! You can dress up or wear a team shirt, bring music, the more energy the better!

PARKING

If you want to actually run in the race, you can help with parking. Just directing traffing into a lot so that it flows quickly and orderly! We supply vests, batons, instructions and signs. Once a lot is full, just put out the full size and point people to the next lot!
