VENUE
Fabulous Fidler Pond, is just minutes away from downtown Goshen, but such a quiet oasis. You will not believe the calm you feel by the water!
AWARDS
Custom granite awards for overall triathlon and teams and Mile swim. AG awards 3 deep for triathletes, Top Relay teams and Mile swimmers. We do the Mile swim awards first, as the swim is completed well before the triathlon is completed. Swimmers, please gather by the small tent for awards at approximately 9:30 am.
COURSE
The swim is in fabulous PRISTINE water, truly a special experience. The water is very deep, so you will not come close to weeds. The bike course winds through an industrial park, on rolling hills past farms out to Millersburg and back. Run course is twice around the “pond” on a flat, cinder path.
We use a time trial start for the swim- meaning people will line up according to your pace, two side by side, and go into the water together, 5 seconds apart. The timing mat is located as close to the water as possible. The Pond has a ledge around the perimeter and then it drops off fairly quickly.
NOTES
This is the only day of the year where you can swim in Fidler pond due to safety issues, so don’t miss out!
This event offers a rare, pleasant spectator experience! You will experience non-stop action and plenty of shade. Have your support people or interested friends bring a camp chair, sun hat and beverage and watch the action!
Perhaps you are not interested in participating, but are there to support someone… or maybe you are recovering from another event or this event does not fall into to your race schedule. We need help to pull off a safe and polished event!
